Salary: $50,680.00 to $68,169.00 based on ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule E1 02 and experienceThis position will assist in planning, executing, and evaluating programs and processes to increase student retention, persistence, and completion. It will also help in college-wide efforts to support students' educational experiences. The Student Support and Retention Coordinator will report to the Associate Dean of Enrollment Services.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
1. Work with the Associate Dean of Enrollment Services to coordinate the retention of first-time freshman college students.2. Manage the daily operations of Dropout Detective and the early alert processes.3. Track all retention activities and other student data to show progress toward completion.4. Capture student feedback to help improve the student experience.5. Support the advising team as needed during peak registration times.6. Monitor targeted student populations to identify groups that require intervention and serve as frontline outreach staff7. Be highly accessible to individuals and groups of students as a resource on academic and personal concerns impacting progression.8. Assist with Retention and Strategic Initiative programs.9. Serve as the director of the Jeff Coach initiative and oversee the personnel associated with the program under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Enrollment Services.10. Monitor academic reporting systems for early alert to students' performance and academic progress risk, thus identifying those whose behaviors indicate a lack of educational success strategies.I l. Assist and refer students for academic skills assistance, including tutoring, counseling, and/or career guidance.12. Research successful college/university retention programs to identify policies, practices, procedures, and consequences of academic standing impacting the transfer process.13. Make recommendations based on best practices identified through research.14. Assist with and may coordinate special projects contributing to the college's retention goals.15. Serve as Enrollment Services representative on committees as appointed.16. Perform other related duties as assigned.
