Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor patients’ health and report any changes in condition or behavior.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients in engaging in daily activities and social interactions.
- Follow care plans as directed by supervisor, ensuring all HIPAA guidelines are adhered to.
- Assist with medication reminders and other healthcare needs as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and ability to recognize changes in health status.
- Strong understanding of cleanliness standards and infection control practices.
- Experience in long-term care settings is advantageous.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
