Job Overview
ACCU Staffing is seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating sit-down and stand-up electric forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility. This role is essential in ensuring efficient operations within our distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Follow all GMP procedures.
- Follow all food safety, food quality safety policies.
- Operate stand-up, sit down forklift and pallet jack.
- Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory.
- Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company.
- Perform cycle counts as required.
- Pick, wrap and stage orders to be shipped.
- Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.
- Keep the dock area and coolers clean of debris.
- Identify safety hazards in the workplace.
- Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices are essential for success in this role.
- Must be able to work in a freezer environment, willingness to work in a cold environment.
- Must have 2 years' experience operating powered forklifts.
- Attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs unassisted.
- Process a high regard for safety in the workplace.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of various material handling equipment.
- Ability to multitask.
