What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrator - Contracts position at Accu-Tech?
As the Contract Administrator you will be responsible for assisting in the multiple phases of contract development, review, and execution of the final contract. You will work with the Contract Manager and legal staff or work independently to review drafted contract language to minimize the risk to the company utilizing pre-approved legal language. You will coordinate the monthly reports and processes necessary to promote the accurate recognition by the various financial functions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for review and approval of terms and conditions associated with various legal documents (contracts, confidentiality agreements, PO’s etc.) to facilitate company goals.
- Ensures adherence to corporate requirements to assure compliance and ability to perform scope of proposed work.
- Coordinates contract renewal signature of existing customer.
- Creates and issues contract addendums or amendments as required, from pre-approved templates.
- Identifies potential legal, operational, or financial risks of non-standard customer requests and contract language.
- Maintains, organizes, and works through a queue of contracts while practicing prioritization and efficiency.
- Maintenance of records.
- Identify and communicate areas of risk and improvement to ensure the company is protected.
- Act as a backup within the department.
- Generate month end reporting on contract volume, values, and contract types.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the sales team when contract modifications are needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3 Years of contract review experience, preferably in the construction/electrical industry.
- 2 Years of experience with FAR and DFAR clauses.
- 1-2 Years of experience working closely with in-house legal counsel.
- 4 Years of contract review experience, preferably in the construction/electrical industry is preferred.
- 3 Years of experience with FAR and DFAR clauses is preferred.
- 3 Years of experience working closely with in-house legal counsel is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and interpret complex legal contracts.
- Strong detail orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables.
- Ability to travel 0-25% of the time.
