Laser Machine Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser engraving and cutting machines to produce high-quality products and sheet metal components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Laser Operator will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

• Set up and operate laser engraving machines to produce quality products.
• Set up and operate laser cutting machines to fabricate sheet metal parts according to specifications.
• Perform quality inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during production.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Experience

• Previous experience with laser engraving machines is preferred.
• Previous experience with sheet metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Experience in programming laser cutting machines or working with vectored artwork is an advantage.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to perform quality inspections and utilize precision measuring instruments effectively.

• Must be comfortable with technology and computers, both touch screens and PC based applications.
• Excellent communication skills, must be comfortable interacting with a team.
• Machine programming and operation are necessary job functions. Must have experience or be teachable.
• Energetic, high ethical standards and solid work ethic.
• Attention to detail and safety oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
