Human Resources Manager Position Responsibilities Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Director of Operations and is responsible for the daily management of HR activities, primarily managing the administration of company programs, policies, and procedures.
HR Manager Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of basic benefits: Health /Dental /Vision /401K /PTO / Workman's Compensation/ Employee recognition programs.
- Training, counseling, and coaching of field employees and office staff.
- Resolving conflicts through positive and professional mediation.
- Experience in full-cycle recruiting.
- Developing clear policies and ensuring policy awareness.
- Manage and respond to unemployment claims.
- Facilitate performance reviews for office and field employees.
HR Manager Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, or Business; may substitute degree requirement with 8 years of HR experience.
- Experience with ADP a plus.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in full-cycle recruiting and hiring.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the healthcare industry.
- SPHR/PHR Certification preferred.
HR Manager Qualifications Requirements:
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Self-directed; able to work successfully with little direct supervision; open to constructive feedback.
- The ideal candidate is dependable, people-oriented, adaptable and detail-oriented.
HR Manager Travel Requirements:
- Limited travel as needed for various staff and client care service needs.
- Up to 10% or as directed based on the needs of the business and attending job-required training and conferences.
HR Manager Work Environment:
- Office Environment: high-paced office/branch environment; continuous phone use/ringing; talking; various noise levels; interactions with employees and clients; sitting for short periods of time; bending and stooping required; lifting up to 10 lbs. using a computer for extended periods: typing, staring at a bright monitor or TV screen; using fingers, wrists, and arms; stress on the back may occur.
