We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various IT systems, ensuring that all hardware and software operate efficiently. Responsibilities
- Provide help desk support to end-users, addressing technical issues related to hardware and software.
- Manage and maintain Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls to secure network access.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems on desktops and laptops.
- Offer desktop support for Windows-based systems, assisting users with software installations and updates.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure adequate support and replacement of faulty parts and services.
- Communicate effectively with team members and end-users to resolve issues promptly.
- Document all technical procedures and user interactions in a clear and organized manner.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
Experience
- Associate degree in Computer Science, an equivalent trade school program, an accredited computer training course, or 1 or more years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably as an IT Technician or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of LAN management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with firewall configurations and security protocols.
- Experience with VPN setup and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in various operating systems, particularly Windows environments.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Prior experience in desktop support is highly desirable.
Overtime & Travel Requirements:
- Periodic overnight travel may be required for trade shows and training seminars.
- Must be able to fly on commercial airlines domestically and internationally.
- Travel to Mexico and Costa Rica locations may be required for large-scale IT project rollouts.
