What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Jobs with Parks and Rec Programs position at AccuForce?
AccuForce is hiring Program Attendants and Program Leaders for the Summer season with Kingsport Parks & Recreation department. These positions will start May 19, 2025.and run through August 4, 2025.Summer staff will be placed at various site locations throughout Kingsport.
We need to finalize our roster for the season over the next few weeks. If you are seeking extra cash for the Summer, this may be the job for you!
Duties will include/but not limited to:
- Organizing games and activities
- Directing and leading summer participants of ages 6-12
- Outdoor activities will be included in the majority of the program
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Previous experience in working with pre-school or school age children (ex: scouting, coaching, babysitting, etc)
- Study in the field of recreation, early elementary education, physical fitness, special needs, art, drama and/or experience in a related field preferred
- Must have reliable means of transportation
Details:
- Schedules will vary based on age level of participants, activity, and location.
- Will typically be working between 30 - 40 hours per week during the season
- Pay will be between $9.75 - $12.25 per hour (depending on if attendant or leader)
