What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Writer/Advisor position at Accuracy Automotive?
Responsibilities:
- Answer Phone Calls.
- Schedule appointments.
- Provide friendly, professional customer experience.
- Greets patrons when the arrive.
- Inquires as to reason for customer visit.
- Takes detailed notes with regard to customer’s vehicle issues.
- Asks follow up questions as necessary.
- Enters customer’s personal information in computer system
- Draws up work order with specific details.
- Assigns vehicle inspection to mechanic.
- Acts as liaison between customer and vehicle technician.
- Imparts information to customer regarding the work recommended by the mechanic.
- Developing cost estimates, logging needed parts and the time needed for repairs, and scheduling the most appropriate Service Technician.
- Answers customer questions regarding condition of the vehicle, wait time, and cost.
- Explains terminology and the nature of work needed to customer.
- Contacting customers in the case of additional work to relay the details and extra costs.
- Explains billing details to customer.
- Processes customer payments.
- Maintains logs of vehicle work completed.
- Answers service area phones and schedules appointments as needed.
Skills:
- Computer data entry
- Customer service skills including proper phone etiquette
- Searching for parts information
- Creating detailed estimates for customers
- Familiarity with parts ordering through Mitchell1 with suppliers such as Worldpac, Oreilly's, Auto Zone, FMP, Parts Authority, Repairlink, etc...
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
