What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Estimator position at Accurate Electrical Contractors Corp.?
We are a Local 363 USWU shop that is growing quickly and looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare bids. This is a full-time, in-office position with the ideal candidate being self-driven, communicative, thorough, organized, responsible and someone who will take great pride in their work and our company. We treat our business like a family and are looking to add another member to our close-knit team. We are extremely open to exploring new avenues, procedures, techniques, and technologies to help us win more bids and keep our clients satisfied. Though we are seeking someone experienced, there is still incredible room to grow with our organization.
Responsibilities
- Understand the project and requirements detailed in the bid documents.
- Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc. and keep our database up-to-date.
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by vendors or subcontractors.
- Assemble estimates and create and submit proposals to clients.
- Build relationships with clients to sell our services and receive feedback on bid proposals.
- Build relationships with key vendors (supply houses, subcontractors, etc.).
- Provide consultation during project kickoff meetings to aid planning and coordination of new projects.
- Run through the bid board directly with ownership to discuss bidding strategies and prioritize new bid requests.
Skills
- Experience as an electrical estimator.
- Knowledge of estimation formulas and data analysis methods.
- Proficient in relevant software (Accubid or a comparable system).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
