Job Title: Mixing Center Supervisor
Location: Tolleson, AZ (onsite)
Pay: $47,500 - $55,500 per year ( bonus)
Job Purpose:
The Mixing Center Supervisor provides functional guidance to employees regarding the planning and support of the Mixing Center operations. This role involves tracking inbound orders, establishing day-to-day plans for Mixing Center associates and operations, providing guidance on inbound/outbound capacity needs, and ensuring compliance with all applicable FSMA regulations and company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all schedules related to Mixing Center warehouse management, including inbound and outbound perishable food (grocery) shipments and internal warehouse needs.
- Monitor all loads being received to ensure appointments are assigned to the correct doors.
- Implement and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure all employees are trained and adhere to these policies.
- Optimize inbound delivery plans by consolidating freight mix and maximizing load utilization for outbound shipments.
- Ensure all inbound purchase orders are planned to meet supply chain specifications and expectations while maximizing service and efficiency.
- Manage inbound/outbound shipment reporting and ensure system updates are performed per SOP protocols.
- Monitor and maintain records of carrier performance and service KPI data.
- Exercise discretion, good judgment, and quick decision-making to address issues effectively.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and manage employee performance.
- Ensure the Mixing Center meets and maintains service expectations.
- Organize daily operations meetings to support holiday planning, exceptions to normal procedures, and other operational requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including off hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage exceptions and adapt readily to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal); bilingual skills are a plus.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile, and analyze data.
- Willingness to travel.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a related field, preferably with grocery or perishable food handling experience.
- At least 5 years of management or supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Capability to traverse and access all areas of a warehouse environment.
- Willingness to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures.
