Job Title: Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst - Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $100-110/hr
Position Summary:
As a Sr. Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst (SCTIA), you’ll play a key role in supporting leadership and cybersecurity teams by gathering, analyzing, and delivering high-impact threat intelligence at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels. You’ll track indicators of compromise, emerging threats, threat actors and their tools, motivations, and techniques—translating this intelligence into actionable insights for teams across incident response, SOC, vulnerability management, threat hunting, and more.
This role requires a strong understanding of business operations and threat landscape to contextualize intelligence and assess risks relevant to our environment. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across cybersecurity, physical security, legal, and insider threat programs, providing direct analytic support and contributing to ongoing investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply subject matter expertise across various cybersecurity domains—technical and non-technical.
- Collect, process, and analyze cyber threat intelligence to support organizational security objectives.
- Author clear, audience-tailored reports for technical teams, executives, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build and manage processes for CTI operations, including playbooks and intelligence product distribution.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback and editorial guidance to continuously refine intelligence products.
- Apply predictive analytics to anticipate threat actor behavior and provide preemptive risk-reduction recommendations.
- Use intelligence platforms and tools to hunt through datasets, identifying indicators of threat activity.
- Provide real-time context to threats impacting security operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and managed services partners in dynamic, cross-functional environments.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team development.
- Lead and prioritize investigations, threat cases, and strategic intelligence initiatives under management direction.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years in an intelligence or cybersecurity role, with at least 3 years in cyber threat intelligence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field—or 5 years in a security-focused position.
- Recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS) strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cyber threat landscapes, and adversary TTPs.
- Proficient in intelligence lifecycle processes and tradecraft.
- Hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing concepts, and forensics.
- Familiarity with the MITRE attack framework and the cyber kill chain.
- Experience working with intelligence tools and analyzing large datasets.
- Able to lift 25 lbs. and interpret color-coded visualizations.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of direct experience using threat intelligence to proactively reduce cyber risk.
- Experience analyzing sandbox, behavioral, or reverse engineering reports.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR), and tools like Microsoft Office and ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of threat environments across industries such as manufacturing, brokerage, research, and supply chain.
- Understanding of how global events and geopolitics influence cyber threat activity.
- Experience working with insider threat programs and investigations.
