Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Tolleson, AZ
Pay: $65,000 - $73,000 ( bonus potential)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- HR Advisory and Support:
- Advise and make recommendations to DC management on all HR-related matters.
- Assist the DC Manager with employee and temporary staffing needs.
- Performance Management:
- Coordinate the performance management program, ensuring performance expectations are set, policy guidelines are met, and processes are conducted effectively and timely.
- Communication:
- Facilitate effective and timely communication between all levels of employees.
- Temporary Staffing:
- Work closely with on-site temporary agencies to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Payroll and Benefits:
- Serve as a backup for processing payroll and employee benefits.
- Employee Relations:
- Investigate and respond to employee complaints and EEOC charges.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Monitor the DC environment and notify management of issues or concerns.
- Unemployment Claims:
- Complete and submit all unemployment information to the state in a timely manner.
- Represent the company at unemployment hearings and tribunals when appropriate.
- Safety Programs:
- Provide professional support for safety programs developed by the Safety Manager.
- Provide administrative support for all Workers’ Compensation Programs with Liberty Mutual, the insurance carrier.
- Benefits Administration:
- Serve as a resource for employees with general benefit questions.
- Assist with the open enrollment process.
- Compliance and Supervision:
- Track compliance of new hires and pay ranges.
- Supervise daily activities of the HR staff.
- Ensure all I-9 forms are completed and accurate for all current and past employees.
- Maintain DC organization charts.
- Prepare, recommend, and maintain records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data changes.
- Legal Compliance:
- Stay current on federal, state, and local employment law changes.
- Monitor labor law updates affecting HR.
- Employee Separation:
- Administer exit interviews, monitor findings, recommend changes, and evaluate effectiveness.
- Training and Development:
- Implement, oversee, and monitor the effectiveness of DC training initiatives.
- Conduct training sessions on various HR topics as needed.
- Conduct new employee orientation.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Provide advice and counsel on personnel issues.
- Investigate and resolve employee issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource science or general business administration with a concentration in human resource management preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on HR generalist and management experience, including recruitment (direct hire and temporary), benefits administration, payroll administration, employee/labor relations, and safety/workers’ compensation, preferably within a warehouse/production environment.
- Excellent communication, writing, and software skills, with high proficiency in Excel.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages at a college level.
