The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for conducting tests, inspections, and analyses to maintain compliance with regulations and meet customer expectations. With strong attention to detail and dedication to quality, this role will safeguard our reputation and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide direct support for all shop floor manufacturing and materials processes related to quality assurance.
- Ensure goods and products comply with company, customer, and industry standards.
- Report quality anomalies to the supervisor.
- Identify areas for improvement in quality control processes.
- Ensure production is not hindered by quality concerns.
- Navigate M1 system to perform quality-related tasks.
- Coordinate with and advise production personnel on quality issues.
- Inspect incoming and in-process goods used in manufacturing.
- Follow procedures for handling non-conforming products produced by manufacturing.
- Apply hold notices and reject tags as necessary.
- Gather data and written reports to create change requests in M1.
- Prepare and enter data into the computer for analysis.
- Conduct spot audits of finished products and enter results into the system.
- Develop, maintain, and complete all associated paperwork and data entry, including final check sheets, inspection reports, spot audits, test data, and work instructions.
- Travel as needed to address customer quality concerns.
- Assist in performing QC functions in other areas of the business (Continuous Improvement/5S).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Experience in collecting data and drafting reports using Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of GD&T and mathematical concepts, including the ability to read blueprints.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information and communicate it effectively.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, M1).
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
