We have full and part-time positions available for day or evening shift. Immediate opening for a Travel X-Ray Technician (AART Certified). No experience is required, training well be provided. Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Explaining the procedure to the patient
- Positioning the patient properly
- Positioning radiation protection devices such as lead shields
- Setting X-Ray equipment at the correct angle & height over the appropriate area of a patient's body
- Setting controls on the X-Ray machine to produce X-Rays or radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast
- Placing exposure board beneath & under the part of the patient's body to be examined & make the exposure
- Computer literate
- Transmitting images via web-based PACs system
- Following physicians instruction & orders precisely
- Keeping patient records & adjust / maintain equipment
- Ability to travel short & long distances to place of service
Education & Qualifications
- ARRT Certification with current Texas requirements
- New graduates will be considered if license is obtained
- Salary based on experience, starting pay is $20/hr
