POSTION SUMMARY
The Freelance Promotion Producer will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and executing promotional content that effectively markets our brand, programs, and initiatives. This individual will be under the direction of the Chief Content Officer and work closely with the Content, PR, Marketing, and Production Teams to develop compelling promotional materials that resonate with our target audience and drive engagement. This position is remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Development:

  • Develop innovative concepts and ideas for promotional campaigns that align with brand strategy and objectives.
  • Write, produce, and edit promotional spots and teasers for various platforms including television, digital, social media, and sales presentations.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met and content is delivered on time.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including Program, Digital, PR, Marketing, and Forecasting teams to gather necessary information and assets for promotional content.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of promotional campaigns, making data-driven adjustments as needed.

Technical Skills:

  • Utilize industry-standard software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.), to produce high-quality promotional materials.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends and best practices in media production and promotion.

Brand Consistency:

  • Ensure all promotional content is consistent with the company's brand voice, style, and messaging guidelines.
  • Maintain quality control over all promotional materials, ensuring they meet the highest standards of production.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in producing television image spots and topical promotions.
  • 3-5 years experience in producing promos for local television news.
  • Experience with Adobe applications such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop required.
  • Excellent Image and promotion writing skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and communicate effectively.
  • Adept at using social media to gather information.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours.
  • Bachelor's Degree in journalism or related field.
