Description:
We seek a motivated, multi-tasker, detailed Project Manager in the manufacturing industry, with strong leadership and communication skills managing a diverse team to transform innovative projects into a finished product. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of manufacturing design for machinery and automation. The candidate is expected to have experience with maintaining and organizing all project aspects from start to finish, communicating all project information to customers, and maintaining the scope, budget, and schedule utilizing MS Project, MS Office, and other documents. This individual, while working alongside our team of engineers, purchasing, and other individuals, will be the customer’s advocate for the duration of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a Gantt chart using Microsoft Project for schedule reflecting project milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
- Lead and maintain the project budget through the project by tracking: scheduled hours, purchasing content, and labor using our integrated ERP system.
- Lead and maintain the scope of the project from start to finish with the customer team
- Collaboratively manage project changes proactively with the customer to ensure project satisfaction.
- Facilitate regular status meetings with customers and the internal team to provide updates, address concerns, and information flow.
- Serve as the central point of communication between the customer and the internal team.
- Prepare and ensure all project documentation and prints are updated, properly handled, and stored per our ISO processes.
- Report and track weekly progress and potential changes with the production and leadership teams.
- Must be able to travel if needed.
- Other responsibilities may be added by management.
Requirements:
- Develop and maintain an Open Items List to ensure issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint, in particular)
- Excellent organizational and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing design related to machinery and automation
- Knowledge of ERP system for BOM Release
- 3 years of project leadership experience
