Position Summary
The Quality Engineer supports the Quality Manager in implementing lean manufacturing processes, and supports efforts in maintaining the quality management system. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Company’s quality initiatives by performing visual, and dimensional inspections coupled with documentation reviews to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards. This position has a key role in interacting effectively with the Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Materials Management.
- Position is located in Wheeling, IL and will report directly to the Quality Manager
- Some local travel may be required
- Will interact and work closely with other departments to resolve quality issues
- Implementing and maintaining standards of the Wheeling Quality Management System.
- Will be required to perform visual and dimensional measurement inspections, non-destructive product testing and be able to use handheld gauges
- Will be responsible for documenting, updating, and filling new and current quality documentation
