Description
The primary function of this position is to select and palletize orders in an accurate and timely manner. This is a warehouse position responsible for operating an electric jack, or other powered industrial equipment, to select the correct products using a voice activated order system, labeling product, palletizing product to build customer orders and delivering the product to the dock safely and efficiently.
An individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Order Selection:
Accurately select products based on customer orders using a voice-activated order system.
Equipment Operation:
Operate electric jacks and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
Product Handling:
Label and organize selected products, ensuring they meet quality and order specifications.
Palletization:
Build secure and organized pallets for delivery, adhering to company standards.
Stack product on pallets following proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy product on light product, labels facing out, adhering to food safety principles, etc.)
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Adhere to all safety practices and company policies and food safety principles. Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
Attend all required company meetings.
Dock Delivery:
Transport completed pallets to the loading dock in a timely manner.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, an order selector will constantly work near powered industrial equipment and experience exposure to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working on concrete flooring. Duties will require working varying climates. Temperatures range from below zero in the freezers to 95F degrees or above outdoors. The shift end-time fluctuates with the operation’s daily needs.
Qualifications
Education/Training
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements.
Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Warehouse experience preferred.
Experience operating electric pallet jack or forklift preferred.
Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those required of an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds, using safe lifting practices.
Frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets.
Constantly bend and twist while retrieving items from lower shelf areas.
Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.

Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment.
Develop a working knowledge of the product.
Must be able to work the assigned schedule. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Must be able to use, or learn to use, all equipment and tools used to perform the job.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must successfully pass a controlled substance screening test.
Hours/Pay: Schedule is subject to change - Hours may vary.
Sunday - Thursday 6:00PM - 4:00AM or Monday - Friday 6:00PM - 4:00AM
