The Owners Ray and Joan Gnat have been in the industry their whole lives. Ray is a former LSU gymnast and Joan was in the Olympics in 1972. They are very passionate and dedicated to their business. ACE Summer Camp Coach Job Description
Hiring for: May 29th- August 8th 2025
Shadowing camp can occur the week of March 14-21st to get a head start on training.
Training is required before hand as well, dates are TBA.
We are looking for a Camp Counselor to supervise young campers and make sure they learn and have fun. What do Camp Counselors do? The most important out of all Camp Counselor duties is to ensure campers are safe at all times. You’ll be responsible for overseeing their activities and ensuring they don’t get lost or hurt. The job duties of a Camp Counselor include planning summer camp games, educating children setting up equipment. Being reliable and able to build good relationships with children are two essential traits of a Camp Counselor. If you’re patient, energetic but strict when needed, we’d like to meet you. If you enjoy working for us and do well over the summer, there are job opportunities to train as a recreational gymnastics coach and continue working here throughout the school year.
Responsibilities
- Attending trainings before camp starts to fully understand job.
- Follow rotation schedule given by supervisors.
- Care for children on field trips.
- Ensure children are being safe on our gymnastics equipment.
- Lead recreational and educational activities (gym activities, games, crafting, ensuring kids are safe and eating during lunches, etc.)
- Escort and oversee children.
- Educate campers through games and explorations.
- Resolve occasional fights between children and address behavioral issues.
- Make sure all safety rules are followed.
- Ensure camping site is clean, help campers clean up after every activity.
- Take care of injuries as needed.
- Keep accurate incident logs.
- Show up for scheduled shift 5-10 minutes early fully in uniform and ready for shift.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
