Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Receiving and Shipping Department to expedite product to our customers in a timely manner.
- 40 Hours paid vacation awarded at 90 days.
- Paid holidays eligible on day one. 10 paid holidays per year.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for the transport (from banding isle), receipt and recording of all production/purchased materials that enter the warehouse.
- Performing weight and or hand count of products.
- Ensure that containers are properly identified as to their contents, review of product information on production/receiving tags.
- Document information on the Warehouse Receipts Log.
- Responsible for preparing products for shipment which includes shrink wrapping or banding products in quantities as stated on the customer packing list.
- Load and unload materials from trucks as required.
- Cycle Counts as required by shipping Supervisor.
- Timely delivery to the warehouse on products from receiving department and banding isle.
- Other duties as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.
- Know and recognize safety and quality procedures.
Skills/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-5 years previous manufacturing experiences preferably in a warehouse.
- Clean driving record and ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to read directions, job orders, and specifications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate with other personnel is required.
- Self-disciplined and self-motivated.
- Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a long period of time, 90% of the time is spent standing.
- Must be able to frequently move about the cell (workspace) to access moving parts and machinery, etc.
- Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
- Manual dexterity to operate machines properly.
- Visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced.
- Frequently relocates metal parts and equipment weighing between .5 (1/2) pound up to 60 pounds at various times. Finished parts may weigh up to 70 pounds.
