Assistant Lead Cashier
As a Assistant Lead Cashier at Belgrade Ace priority is Customer Service and being able to guide the team and help them solve problems when Leader is unavailable
- Training fully and effectively
- Making decisions on Returns and Defective Returns
- Staying Late or coming in early when needed
- Scheduling
- Ordering product needed for the front end
- Making sure things are running smooth and effectively
- Answering Supervisor calls on Phone or at checkstands
- Interviews
- Hiring/Firing with Leader approval
- Understanding the Computer systems that need to work smoothly so Cashiers can cashier
- Be able to install or fix problems with the Computer Systems such as but not limited to Pin Pads, Printers, POS system, keyboards ect…
- Epicor knowledge/Creating a Case
- The Ability to say NO
- Conflict Resolution between customers, co-workers, co-workers and customers ect….
- Adhering to Policies and Procedures with the ability to make decisions in gray areas
- Maintain a Postive Work enviroment
Cashiering Duties
- Greeting Customers- Greeting customers as they enter the business
- Scanning items or putting in Item codes, itemizing and totaling customer purchases
- Counting Cash back correctly
- Processing Checks
- Charging Charge Accounts
- Basic Computer knowledge
- Processing Coupons and discounts
- Bagging Items
- Retail cashiers receive and process payments by cash, check, credit card, and automatic debit.
- Conduct SKU and Price Checks
- Assisting Customers as needed for questions or directions
- Gift Cards
- Process Returns Normal and Defective
- Stocking and Facing
- Sweeping floors
- Keeping counters and shelves clean and free of debris
- Lots of standing, stooping, bending and lifting repetitively required. Being able to lift up to 40lbs if needed
- Speaking on a Radio
- Answering phones and directing calls
- Signing up new Ace Reward Members
- Being able to use judgement for loadouts
- Knowing when to call for a supervisor
- Calling out Line 10 as necessary
- Being able to stop customers if they beep coming or going through the sensormatics
Qualifications
Highschool graduate or GED
Retail Experience
Cashier Experience
Management of 5 or more people of all ages
Great Customer Service
Problem Solving
Standing long periods of time, bending and lifting up to 50lbs
Cash Handling
Computer skills
ability to adapt to change quickly
Open availability for the schedule including weekends and nights
Conflict resolution
Friendly and outgoing with a great attitude
Salary : $24 - $27
