Job Summary:
Weekends are required.
The Sales Associate is responsible for greeting customers, answering their questions, and maintaining a clean and organized store to ensure a seamless customer experience. The Sales Associate is also responsible for Impacting Lives Always and actively participating in the team to provide exceptional customer service.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greeting Customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Assisting Customers as needed and answering questions about products and services.
- Answering customer calls in all areas of the store.
- Maintaining knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and returns.
- Knowledge of security practices to reduce shrink.
- Stocking and Facing shelves to maintain orderly and shoppable store appearance.
- Collaborate with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales goals.
- Cleaning and organizing the store; placing back stock on shelves.
- Occasionally operating a cash register, ringing up customers, and taking payment
- Assist customers with finding items on the sales floor, locating items, and pulling product off the shelves.
- Communicating via radio which includes speaking into and listening for radio communications.
- Answering phones and directing calls.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety.
- Other duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic Computer knowledge and being able to learn company software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- General math skills
- Ability to use judgment to respond to customers needs
- Ability to use judgment and knowing when to call for a supervisors assistance.
- Basic safety knowledge and understanding
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Basic knowledge of hardware products and tools preferred
Flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and lifting.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
