Maintenance & Reliability Manager
Drive Operational Excellence and Ensure Optimal Equipment Performance
About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead our team in driving operational excellence, ensuring the optimal performance of all plant equipment. This critical role is responsible for maintaining efficiency, safety, and compliance of our facility, covering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
About You
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in maintenance or equipment repair - preferably within manufacturing or chemical industries
- Proven experience managing unionized teams and administering Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Deep understanding of industry and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, PSM, cGMP, EPA, DEA, DOT)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance operations across manufacturing, utilities, distribution, and wastewater systems
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive reliability and performance improvements
- Develop and enforce preventive maintenance programs and best practices
- Support Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance in alignment with OSHA standards
- Manage maintenance contracts - scoping, bidding, and overseeing timely, high-quality work
- Ensure all work aligns with OSHA, EPA, DHS, and FDA safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain training and certifications for maintenance staff and contractors
- Control maintenance budget and monitor expenses effectively
- Identify and manage critical spare parts inventory
- Assist with capital project planning, installation, and commissioning
- Oversee and optimize the site's maintenance management system, leveraging data to drive long-term asset performance
- Lead labor relations and ensure adherence to collective agreements
- Collaborate cross-functionally on projects and initiatives
