Overview
We are seeking a skilled Compression Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in equipment repair and maintenance.
Duties
Oversee Daily Operation and Maintenance of compressors and all equipment associated with compressor.
Function as the primary point of contact between compressor rental/service companies and the production foreman/maintenance foreman.
Determine the cause of mechanical failures to identify ways to prevent future failures.
This may include compressor performance, troubleshooting, and environmental concerns. Support EH&S departments in ensuring compliance with Air Emissions permits.
Coordinate with operations staff for compressor adjustments for gas lift system and PM schedules.
Schedule: 10/4 (10 days on 4 days off) 8 hr shifts
Qualifications:
-2 year's experience working on Natural Gas compressors
- Prior experience as a service technician or mechanic
- Proficiency in reading and understanding schematics
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Electrical repair skills, including soldering
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools competently
- Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks
- Expertise in diesel engine repair
