Powerline Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PowerLine Technician to join our team. As a PowerLine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting production line equipment to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations. This is a vital role in our manufacturing process, and we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and has a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities:

-Extensive knowledge in all aspects of powerline construction, maintenance and protocol. With working knowledge of reclosers, capacitors, voltage regulators, and transformers. Shall have the ability to calculate fuse coordination, proper fuse sizing and placement, along with transformer fuse sizing and service wire sizing as per NEC spec.
- Perform routine maintenance on production line equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting as necessary
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.

-Knowledge of Right-of-Way standards and the ability to design powerline routes, draft prints, write up materials lists, and stake line as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the production line
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Document all maintenance activities and report any major issues to the supervisor

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Line Technician or in a similar role preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery
- Knowledge of electrical systems and basic understanding of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
