What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler I - Repair Operations position at Acer Service Corporation?
This is a direct temp to hire position, excellent benefits available after 90 days.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., must be available for occasional overtime and Saturdays.
Summary: Entry-level material handler position responsible for loading and unloading trucks, as well as, packing, un-packing, staging, retrieving and stocking material.
Responsibilities:
- Locate, identify and retrieve material within a warehouse using provided pick tickets
- Unpack, receive, and stage product for work by other operations
- Use industrial ladders to pull and stock parts in the warehouse facility
- Load and unload trucks
- Safely operate manual pallet jacks
- Prepare orders and material for shipping
- Proper packing of products and able to use automated packing equipment
- Perform cycle counts as directed
- Clean and maintain work areas as directed
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain a 96% (rolling 13-week) attendance average
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow directions
- Effective math, reading and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Safely manage weights up to 45 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
- Stand and walk for long periods of time
- Close-toed shoes are required on the production floor
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
