This is a direct temp to hire position, excellent benefits available after 90 days.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., must be available for occasional overtime and Saturdays.
Job Summary: Experienced material handler position responsible for loading and unloading trucks, as well as packing, un-packing, staging, retrieving and stocking material. Responsible for the teardown of computer units and the salvaging of required parts from the unit.
Essential Functions:
· Main function is processing Tear Down units.
· Receive, inventory, and stock high volumes of material and supplies into Acer’s inventory control system. Able to create Orders to move product from one operation to another.
· Must have the ability to read and write in English.
· Able to identify errors or discrepancies in daily job functions and research for resolution
· Print and close orders
· Locate, identify and retrieve material within a warehouse or other operations using provided documents or instructions
· Unpack, receive, and stage product for work by other operations
· Load and unload trucks
· Maintain tools inventory for efficient teardown of computer units.
· Prepare orders and material for shipping
· Proper packing of products and able to use automated packing equipment
· Perform cycle counts as directed
· Clean and maintain work areas as directed
MHII Specific Duties:
· Responsible for insuring successful daily receipt and teardown of computer units and displays.
· Remove required parts from teardown units and bring back into good stock.
· Receive, create, and process credit vendor orders for SSD/HDD/CPU vendors in a timely manner.
· Regularly communicate and develop business relationships with vendor contacts.
Experience, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to maintain a 96% (rolling 13-week) attendance average
· Ability to work under general supervision and follow directions
· Effective math, reading and communication skills
· Working knowledge of Acer’s internal databases
· Attention to detail and able to identify discrepancies in spare parts and paperwork · Ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Safely manage weights up to 45 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
· Stand and walk for long periods of time
· Close-toed shoes are required on the production floor; steel-toed shoes are required in the warehouse.
· Technical understanding/experience and ability to teardown computer units and extract good parts without damaging.
Education/Certifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent · 6-12 months related experience
