Position Overview
Consistent with the
strategic priorities of the Acero Schools, the Operations Project Administrator
manages key business operations for Acero Schools, including organizational
strategy, compliance, policy development, business performance management,
network growth, facilities, information technology (“IT”), and school operations,
in a time-sensitive and changing environment.
This
role will also support overseeing asset protection and management and ensure
proper compliance with all public and private grant reporting.
Core
Responsibilities
- Guides the development and implementation of protocols and controls to ensure compliance and adherence to all Acero Schools policies.
- Monitors risk management for Acero Schools including, but not limited to, IT, compliance, and communications, and advises the COO on these matters and best practices.
- Understands clearly how each administrative decision impacts the quality of education delivered at Acero Schools and can serve as an advisor and thought partner to staff on possible impacts.
- Supports IT and the development of long-term infrastructure improvement plans.
- Supports and coaches team to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of Acero.
- Provides world-class customer service to internal and external partners.
- Is responsible for implementing supports to improve team’s overall quality of performance and customer service by collecting and analyzing service performance and customer satisfaction data, and setting and achieving continuous improvement goals.
- Under the direction of the COO and in partnership with the Senior Analyst, Business Performance Management, supports the ongoing operations of the organization’s performance management and KPI’s.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Law,
Finance, or closely related field (required), Masters of Business
Administration (preferred)
- At
least ten years of progressively increasing administrative management
experience in the context of a growing organization or business, including
management in at least one of the functional domains this role oversees
(preferred)
- Considerable knowledge of principles of management analysis
(such as spend analysis and cooperative purchasing), contracts and organization
design necessary to formulate and implement contract administration practices
- Considerable knowledge of available information system
technologies which enhance business practices
- Considerable knowledge of construction contracting with
experience planning, sourcing and contract administration of multi-million
dollar, multi-year contracts towards programs of capital construction and
capital maintenance
- Comprehensive knowledge of laws, policies and procedures
governing public procurement
- Previous experience in education and/or nonprofit (strongly
preferred)
- Evidence of successful implementation of new processes and
systems with limited direction
- Ability to work collaboratively with CEO, executive
leadership team, Principals, and other staff
- Proven track record of creating and implementing innovative
solutions to meet organizational needs
- Ability to create and build systems and processes to
streamline administrative functions
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation
skills
- Demonstration of sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy
environment with a proven ability to multi-task to complete numerous projects
on a variety of timelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the
ability to anticipate problems and utilize data analysis to create innovative
solutions

Physical Demands
The nature of the work requires
an ability to operate standard business office equipment, and the ability to
communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work
documents, set-up and maintain work files. Physical demands include the ability
to stand, bend, reach high and low, stoop, and walk around the classroom 60% of
the day. In addition, candidates must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15
to 20lbs for short periods of time, and walk up and down stairs several times a
day.
Working Conditions
Majority of work is performed in
a general office environment. Position requires availability for extended hours
plus non-traditional hours required to perform job duties. Also requires
participation and attendance at organization-sponsored events and meetings.
