Position Title: Manufacturing Technician II
Reports to: Lead Manufacturing Engineer
Status: Hourly, Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Longmont Co, Corporate, Lab-Based
Overview: Performs surface mount soldering on PCBA’s using process documents and drawings, hand soldering components, fine wiring, and related tasks. Technical testing and verification of completed assemblies, and sub-assemblies. Records test results and other data into computerized business system. Assembles products for sale to customers .
Responsibilities
- Perform surface mount soldering for various products
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications, and parts and wire lists
- Assemble products for shipment to customers.
- Document inventory receipts, shipments, and movements as required.
- Follow all policies and procedures regarding clean work area and environmental issues
- Adhere to quality system standards and procedures, and ensure customer requirements and needs are met.
- Maintains tools and test equipment necessary to accomplish tasks
- Continually seek to improve processes and work flows.
- Manufacture Acertara products as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Certifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Two-year technical degree highly desired
Experience
· At least 1 year of experience manufacturing and assembly experience
· Extensive experience using small hand tools on small scale products
Competencies
· Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel and must be capable of learning new software programs introduced into the workflow by the company from time to time
· Good oral and written communications skills is preferred
· Ability to work in a highly regulated medical device environment
· Utilizes strong organizational, prioritization, and documentation skills
· A natural problem solver who exhibits a desire to improve processes and employs the initiative to bring solutions and problems to management

Levels
Technician I
· Entry level, basic assembly and repair, and soldering.
Technician II * (THIS POSITION)*
· Electro-mechanical assembly, basic testing and diagnostic abilities, soldering, and micro-assembly.
Technician III
· Advanced trouble shooting, strong competence using testing and diagnostic equipment, and the ability to develop lower-level technicians.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
