What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Acess Global?
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
- Plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction
- Schedules crews and orders equipment, tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules
- Schedules all subcontractor work on daily basis and for the week and communicates daily with the project manager
- Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules on the basis of this review and communicates adjustments to the project manager. Ensures all work progresses at a pace that maintains the schedule and owner milestones
- Accumulates and accurately enters time and quantities on a daily basis with the assistance of the project engineer
- Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules

Education Level / Required Certification : Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; minimum two years' experience in heavy highway excavation or a combination of education and experience
