About the Role
The MRI Technologist performs imaging procedures for a diverse range of customers, from neonates to geriatric patients, in an efficient and safe manner. They must maintain accurate medical records, ensure confidentiality, and interact professionally with physicians, team members, customers, and families.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging exams and procedures accurately
- Apply critical thinking skills appropriately
- Recognize emergent situations and respond appropriately
- Maintain accurate customer medical records
- Ensure confidentiality of all medical records
- Utilize Imaging and hospital computer systems correctly
- Interact with physicians, team members, customers, and families in a professional manner
- Accept other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals
- Demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list
- Maintain skill proficiency and upgrade any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent - Required
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology - Required
- Experience:
- 1 year modality specific experience (CT, MR, Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology) - Preferred
- Licensure/Certification:
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist - Required
- Current BLS Certification - Required
- ACLS (Only required for Cath Lab)
