Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, particularly in the behavioral health field, and will be committed to providing exceptional care to individuals with mental health challenges. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental and physical health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Assist in crisis intervention and emergency medicine situations as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Support patients with disabilities by adapting care approaches to meet their unique needs.
- Perform catheter care and other medical office procedures as required.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Participate in ongoing training related to infectious disease care and behavioral health best practices.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice.
- Strong background in patient care, particularly within behavioral health environments.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist them with mobility as needed.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Familiarity with electronic health records, specifically Epic, is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.00 - $45.00 per hour
