Duties

- Conduct thorough documentation reviews to assess the effectiveness of behavioral plans and make necessary adjustments.
- Manage daily operations related to behavioral health services, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Oversee shift management, ensuring that all staff are trained and equipped to handle behavioral issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate medical records related to residents' behavioral health and progress.
- Advocate for resident rights, ensuring that each individual is treated with dignity and respect.
- Collaborate with nursing administration and other healthcare professionals to integrate behavioral health into overall care plans.
- Utilize Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments to identify residents' needs and tailor interventions accordingly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising staff within a healthcare or assisted living environment.
- Strong skills in documentation review and management of medical records.
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding these principles in practice.
- Familiarity with MDS assessments and their application in behavioral health settings.
- Background in nursing administration or as a nurse is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
