Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients upon arrival in the emergency room.
- Perform necessary procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, and gastric lavage as required.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Ensure the emergency room environment is safe, clean, and organized at all times.
- Stay current with advancements in internal medicine practices relevant to emergency care.
Skills
- Proficient in acute care nursing with a strong understanding of emergency protocols.
- Ability to perform advanced procedures such as suturing, phlebotomizing, and managing neonatal ventilators.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it pertains to emergency medicine.
