Job Summary:

The Sales Coordinator position is responsible for ACF’s Air division’s Rental and Air Compressor order processing & coordination, inventory management, and rental/sales of small compressor systems. The position includes rental and air sales support from time of inquiry to delivery and/or eventual return of rented product. This requires quoting, customer order confirmation, pricing, order processing, vendor sourcing, logistics (shipping, tracking & expediting), invoicing, and problem solving. It also requires coordinating with the service department to ensure all rental equipment is properly repaired and maintained and ready for rent as required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Rental Coordination: Rent small air compressor systems, pass large leads to Rental Manager, prepare proposals, process orders, and coordinate shipments and returns for customers as needed. Follow up with customers after rental equipment has been installed and started to ensure their satisfaction with the rental equipment. Coordinate repair and maintenance of rental equipment with service department
  • Sales Coordination: Sell small air compressor systems, pass large leads to Sales Engineers, update customers on shipments, prepare proposals for customers and Sales Engineers as needed, keep systems engineers informed on promotions, price changes, and product updates, encourage competition among systems engineers, keep track of Ingersoll Rand promotions, take advantage of special promotions sponsored by vendors.
  • Inventory: Order and manage rental and new equipment inventory, prepare machines for shipment, coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment, load/unload trucks as necessary, ensure returning rental equipment goes to the correct branch, Reconcile inventory annually or as requested.
  • Order Processing: Enter orders (equipment or rentals) in FieldServio. Also enter new equipment orders on IR ordering portal and with other vendors, maintain customer project schedules, place new equipment stock orders of compressors & dryers for all branches. Create Rental repair or maintenance jobs for Service Department.
  • Marketing: Assist Rental Manager with Rental program promotions and marketing as required. Assist with Development of Light Industrial Marketing Plan, develop promotions to move inventory, and assist with trade shows. Learn competitive product knowledge.
  • Administration: Answer technical questions for customers, call factory/vendors to get technical and/or shipping information, generate and close invoices, check and respond to voicemail and email messages frequently. Perform CRM updates to IR CPQ and ACF’s business system, enter serial numbers and related information into CRM. Keep a database of sales forms and templates. Organize and maintain office filing system.

Additional Job Functions:

  • Make rental equipment outside sales calls as needed for rental manager or sales engineers
  • Provide rental department specific business system training to Sales Engineers, Service Managers and Service Coordinators as needed
  • Assist Sales Manager and Rental Manager with department functions, and coordination of meetings
  • Provide backup support and order fulfillment functions for the equipment sales coordinators.
  • Ensure environment, health, and safety compliance. Operate forklift within compliance.
Experience and Skills:

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (including physical and work environment)

  • Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Incorporate time management and organization skills on a continuous basis
  • Well-developed sales skills including excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic mechanical and technical aptitude. Also have basic marketing knowledge.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers
  • Bi-lingual language is a positive, but not mandatory.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must operate forklift vehicle (company forklift safety training and certification provided and required)
  • Must be able to handle high pressure situations, multi-task, and adapt well to changes in the market
  • Ability to perform work that exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and perform work requiring frequent talking, walking, standing, and hearing
  • Must have visual acuity to perform work on a computer, to inspect/utilize equipment and manage data
  • Ability to perform functions during occasional bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, feeling, climbing, balancing, lifting, kneeling, pushing, pulling and finger activities
  • The working conditions require exposure to non-climate controlled environments, moving parts, driving, and loud noise levels
  • Ability to travel locally and long distance on occasion

Minimum Job Qualifications (education, work experience, licenses/certifications)

  • Associate’s degree, or 2 to 5 years of business experience (industrial preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
