Senior Risk Officer (Hybrid)
Located in Manhattan
Are you a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of risk management and compliance in financial operations? We are looking for an experienced professional to help shape and drive the risk management strategy for a global financial institution's U.S. operations.
What You'll Do :
- Lead Risk & Compliance Oversight : Take charge of managing and monitoring all risk and compliance activities across the U.S. operations, ensuring that policies, procedures, and regulations are implemented and adhered to effectively.
- Build & Strengthen Risk Framework : Support the creation and continuous enhancement of a U.S. Risk Management Framework, ensuring all risks are covered and that robust controls are in place.
- Collaborate with Leadership : Work closely with the Executive Vice President of Risk Management for the Americas Division to report on risk-related findings, implications, and drive critical decision-making.
- Corporate Governance : Spearhead improvements to the corporate governance framework for U.S. operations, ensuring alignment with global standards and promoting transparency and accountability.
- Regulatory Insight & Compliance : Stay ahead of evolving U.S. banking regulations, particularly the U.S. Bank Holding Company Act, and analyze the impact of these regulations on the organization’s operations.
- Drive Efficiency & Change : Oversee the FRM, ORM, and IRG departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure they are aligned with the company’s broader risk management goals.
- Enterprise Risk Management : Take a hands-on approach to minimize market, liquidity, credit, technology, and operational risks, safeguarding the organization’s assets and reputation.
- Strategic Planning : Develop and manage business plans and budgets for the risk management function, ensuring resources are efficiently allocated to meet objectives.
