What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treasury Management Sales Consultant position at Achieva Credit Union?
Purpose/Duties:
Primarily responsible for developing and direct selling of treasury management solutions to current and prospective members of the credit union. Secondary responsibility includes maintaining the treasury management relationship for commercial members. Must be knowledgeable of financial needs of our members and the Credit Union’s products, including deposit, and treasury solutions. Will act in compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to identify critical and interdependencies among system elements that impact products and performance.
Complies fully with credit union operational and credit policies and procedures.
Conduct on-site sales and service meetings with current and prospective business members to identify and integrate business banking services, specifically treasury management products.
Expertise in influencing and obtaining agreement with recommendations through technical product knowledge.
Foster ongoing relationships with all departments within the assigned territory, providing product information, attending meetings, conducting comprehensive training sessions, and support retention efforts.
Generate new treasury management revenue sources through the collaboration with Branch Development Managers, Commercial Relationship Managers, and Market Presidents and/or independent outreach to current and prospective members through cold calling efforts and/or referrals.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of all treasury management products offered.
Meet or exceed individual sales and retention goals while adhering to corporate, legal, and regulatory compliance, guidelines, and policy requirements.
Participate in development of new treasury management services or modifications of existing services as requested. Participates in the development of sales objectives that are consistent with credit union objectives.
Prepare and negotiate complex treasury management service proposals for current and prospective members, while also cross-selling other business banking services, such as commercial loans.
Resolve treasury management operational problems by identifying causes and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with the Business Banking Services staff or other departments.
Required Education:
BA/BS in Business or related field
Required Experience:
3-5 years Treasury management operations experience OR
3-5 years Treasury management relationship management OR
1-2 years Treasury management sales
Required Skills:
Strong analytical skills including: account analysis, pro-forma creation, and the ability to identify and solve problems
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong team player with ability to manage and influence others
Knowledge of banking systems and operations
