Position Description
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide direct care and personal support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community setting They ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the people we support.
We positively impact the people we support in a number of ways: taking people to medical appointments, participating in activities, and helping people with personal care, and supporting activities of daily living.
Job Responsibilities - Highlights
High school diploma or equivalent and experience or knowledge of supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Effective communication, organizational, interpersonal, and planning skills required. Satisfactory Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances required. Valid PA Driver's License preferred.

- Consistent communication with person/family to plan and coordinate community activities.
- Assistance with meal preparation (i.e.: regulating temperature of food).
- Masking required when providing support in indoor settings and in close proximity to person (i.e.: bathroom assistance). Not required when participating in outdoor activities (i.e.: Twin Lakes Park).
