What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applied Behavior Analysis Direct Service Provider- Staten Island position at Achievement Behavior Services?
We are an agency that was founded ten years ago, in 2015, by the joint efforts of dedicated BCBAs and LCSWs. We have a successful history of supporting children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families with direct, in-home / in-community ABA therapeutic services. Our approach uses the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to mentor and support these children towards increasing their communication, adaptability, resilience, and independence.
We are seeking early-afternoon / weekend ABA Behavior Technician ( to join our network of ABA professionals. This BT must develop dedication to one of our clients will help the student and their family towards continued, incremental success with throughout their school-aged life transitions. We need Behavior Technicians who are thoughtful, engaging, and passionate with their interactions with students, caregivers, supervisors, and colleagues, alike. This person must be be enthuiastic to provide ABA services for students between the agest of 5 and 12 years of age. Availability must be between hours of either 2 : 30 or 4 : 00p and 8pm Monday through Friday in person on Staten Island. There is potential for additional hours on weekends.
Ideal Candidate :
- Passionate about empowering students with ASD towards becoming independent.
- Dedicated and understanding of the steps to building rapport, success, and autonomy with individuals with an ASD diagnosis.
- Committed to punctual and flexible part-time schedules.
- Strong adminstrative skills and commuication with multiple tiers of stakeholders.
- Experience with ABA spectific data acquisition and reinforcement systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
The Qualifications :
In this role, you will work directly, one-on-one, with the child in their natural, home environment. You will be supported by a lead, board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) while you move through the individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) that was scribed to help the student experience increased success in communication, focus, and positively adapting behaviors. According to this BIP, on a daily basis, you will collect numerical and qualitative data on these goals. The charted progress will be used to create new, personalized interventions and goals as the relationship with the student progresses from month-to-month.
Part Time Hours starting at 10 hours / week on Staten Island.
