What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Therapy DSP- Rye/White Plains/Yonkers position at Achievement Behavior Services?
Achievement Behavior Care (ABC) Services is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) agency that connects quality ABA services to children with the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. Historically, we have served school aged students in the North East region of the US since 2015. We are BCBA owned and operated agency with a mission is to build our ABA Professionals Network and connect these service providers to the communities that need ABA services on a daily basis. We are currently seeking Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)- who are dually licensed as Licensed Behvior Analysts (LBAs)- who have a strong commitment to the profession and to making a lasting impact in this community. We are looking for Behavior Technicians/Therapists in Rye, White Plains, and Yonkers.
Behavior Technician Tasks:
- Measure, assess, and document skill acquisition of student's progress on the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
- 1:1 Goal-oriented, in home, direct service work with a student involving implmentation of ABA approaches including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, prompting, modeling, redirection, reinforcements, and reward-systems.
- Thorough and comprehensive session-to-session documentation, data analyisis, and billing.
- Actively engaging with clinical direction and professional feedback from BCBA supervisor(s)
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients or students, caregivers, supervisors, and coworkers

Expectations:
- Multilingual is a plus!
- Use of ACC Devices/General ASL is a plus!
- Study patient behavior and apply ABA principles
- Respond appropriately to different situations common among Autism patients and others with behavioral and developmental challenges
- Utilize key communication skills to provide effective feedback to patients
- Effectively communicate positive feedback to patients
- Be able to recognize and respond to critical improvements in patient behaviors.
- Become familiar with and use behavioral redirection techniques
- Know how to navigate intense behaviors appropriately
- Be thorough with written documentation- data taking and session notes.
Qualifications:
- Interest in pursuing a career in the ABA field
- Strong communication skills required.
- Ability to work under high-stress situations.
- Exhibits significant reliable habits, including timeliness and organizational skills.
- Proven experience working with pre-school and elementary school-aged children.
- Additional evidence of successful work with patients suffering from Autism and development issues.
- Other experience, certificates, or qualifications as required by state.
