What Skills And Knowledge You Can Bring
A Bachelor's degree and a Level I or II PA Teaching certificate in a General Education subject such as English, Math, Science or Social Studies, an/or Special Education. Previous experience with Gifted Education requirements, procedures, and policies. Prior experience working with gifted students and writing, reading, and managing GIEP's. Cyber School experience is a positive factor!
Required Certificates/Clearances: Child abuse and criminal background clearances are required, including Act 168 Disclosure/Release. Must also complete Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training.

AHCCS is seeking a student focused, passionate, and motivating Gifted Resource Teacher to join our school!
The Gifted Resource Teacher will be responsible for:
Student Support and Instruction:
- Implement each assigned student’s GIEP goals, SDI, and support services with fidelity
- Plan and deliver differentiated learning opportunities tailored to the needs of gifted students through acceleration and/or enrichment as needed both in regular education and gifted education classes.
- Proactively seek to support and educate general education teachers about best practices for gifted education and their assigned students
- Assist in developing curriculum and/or lesson materials that meet the diverse needs of gifted learners and collaborate with staff to adapt these materials to the needs of all students at AHCCS.
- Monitor student progress in independent study classes or projects. Grade or transfer graded work to Schoology, as needed.
- Serve as a homeroom coach for students with a GIEP.
- Collect, analyze, and utilize relevant assessment data to drive the specially designed instruction and supports for each student according to their GIEP goals.
- Actively participate in the child find process by serving on the GDMT or GIEP teams as needed.
- Develop and maintain a digital Gifted Resource Room to promote an online community for students with a GIEP.
- Communicate regularly with parents to discuss student progress and help host parent information sessions or meetings as needed.
- Assist the Gifted Program Coordinator, as needed, to complete tasks necessary for implementation of the AHCCS gifted education program. This may include tasks such as helping to deliver professional development, develop gifted curriculum, or hosting gifted workshops, field trips, or competitions.
- Proctor State and local assessments as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
