Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Estimating Coordinator to support our estimating team in preparing bids for public projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling bid packaging, coordinating insurance and bonding requirements, maintaining project databases, and assisting estimators in gathering pricing information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and complete bid packaging requirements for public projects.
- Order bonds and coordinate insurance requirements.
- Arrange for bid runners as needed.
- Assist estimators by making calls and following up on pricing for specialized products.
- Maintain and update the BX database.
- Order, download, print, and distribute plans and specifications as required.
- Download, print, and distribute addenda as needed.
- Add public projects to a private plan room, upload addenda, and distribute notices accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Experience in estimating, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time position with flexible hours.
- Compensation based on experience.
