ACI Federal is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our team. This role involves providing anesthetic care exclusively for cardiac procedures in a dynamic and well-equipped operating room environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Schedule:
- Part-time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Operating Room Details
- 12 operating rooms handling 20–30 cases daily.
- Procedures across multiple specialties, including vascular, urology, orthopedics, ENT, gastrointestinal, and more.
- No trauma surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for cardiac surgical procedures such as coronary artery grafting, valve replacements, aneurysm repair, and open-heart surgeries.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and manage anesthetic care throughout procedures, ensuring optimal safety and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the surgical and nursing teams to provide coordinated, patient-focused care.
- Evaluate patients pre-operatively and ensure readiness for surgical procedures.
- Apply advanced knowledge to manage complex cardiac cases, including Bentall procedures and cardiac tamponade.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
Position Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program.
- Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology.
- Possess an active medical license in any U.S. state.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Valid DEA registration.
