We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Detox Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Maintain and update patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions regarding medications and health-related inquiries.
- Administer medications as prescribed, following all safety protocols.
- Support patients with special needs, including those with disabilities or requiring special education assistance.
- Engage in crisis management when necessary, providing support to patients in distress.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in behavioral health settings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document medication administration and any relevant observations regarding patient responses.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills related to PTSD care and social work.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and medical records management.
- Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral health challenges is preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and understanding towards patients facing crises or requiring special attention.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate medication dispensing.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the pharmacy field.
