Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dietetics and physiology, with the ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. This role is essential in promoting optimal health outcomes through nutrition, particularly within hospital settings and long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate dietary needs and nutritional status.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans that align with patients' health goals.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the dietary department to ensure cohesive patient care.
Provide guidance on tube feeding protocols and nutritional support for patients requiring specialized diets.
Supervise dietary staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in nutrition management and food safety standards.
Stay updated on advancements in dietetics and nutrition science to enhance patient education and care strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and dietary interventions as required by regulatory standards.

Experience

Proven experience in dietetics, particularly within hospital or long-term care environments.

Strong knowledge of human physiology as it relates to nutrition and dietary practices.

Familiarity with developing care plans that address diverse patient needs, including those requiring tube feeding.

Experience supervising or mentoring staff within a dietary department is preferred but not mandatory.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
