Position Title : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Medical / Surgical Unit
Employment Type : Full time- Contract
Location : Charleston, SC
Shift : 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends preferred
Compensation : $30 - $35 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary
As an LPN on our Medical / Surgical Unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, you will deliver direct patient care and contribute to positive patient outcomes through clinical excellence and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Provide patient-focused nursing care on the Medical / Surgical Unit.
Administer medications, treatments, and wound care as prescribed.
Monitor and record patient vitals, symptoms, and progress in medical records.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
Respond promptly to patient needs, ensuring comfort and safety.
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medications, and wellness strategies.
Ensure compliance with ACI policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Required :
Current and valid LPN license in South Carolina
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association preferred).
Minimum 2 years of current experience in a Medical / Surgical unit (must have worked within the last six months).
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including alternating weekends (preferred).
Preferred :
IV therapy certification.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
