- Position Overview
- Responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing as part of a larger medical team. Their duties include checking vital signs, recording a patients medical history and assisting patients with hygiene.

- Degree / Education : Certificate
Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university, or
vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and they must graduate from a state Board accredited program and have an unrestricted LVN / PN license.
Family Practice - Experience within the last three years
Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations
Complete assigned patient care based on the patients conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report and record relevant patient information
Observe, identify, and respond to the patients needs for care, including medication,equipment- assistedcare and patient / family education
Prepare andadminister prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscularand / or intravenous) and perform treatments according to establishedpolicies / procedures
Recognize urgentor emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the RN and / or MD / DO,and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed

Position Requirements
Active State Nursing License
Nurses often work long shifts and must have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, transport patients by pushing or pulling gurneys and wheelchairs, and lift patients as needed. In addition to these general skills, a Nurse could be expected by potential employers to possess the following skills. Eye hand coordination skills and ability to manipulate objects.
