Pay Rate : $36.60 / hr
Description : The Physical Therapy Assistant supports licensed physical therapists in delivering rehabilitative care. Responsibilities include : Assisting patients with exercises and therapeutic activities. Monitoring patient progress and reporting to the supervising therapist. Preparing equipment and maintaining treatment areas. Educating patients on injury prevention and recovery techniques.
Qualifications : Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Active license in North Carolina. Excellent communication and patient care skills
Full-Time / Part-Time Full-Time Position Physical Therapist - PT - LTC Facility Position Requirements
Requirements :
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Previous experience working with geriatric population preferred, especially in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, including knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to professional growth and development through ongoing education and training.
- CPR certification (may be required depending on facility policies).
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform job duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and transferring patients as needed.
