Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for evaluation by physicians. This role is essential in supporting the healthcare team in delivering accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Operate imaging equipment effectively to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, imaging procedures, and results.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
- Assist in emergency medicine situations by providing timely imaging support in urgent care or Level I Trauma Center settings.
Skills
- Proficient in medical imaging techniques, including X-ray, mammography, and sonography.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately position patients for scans.
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and protocols.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly in fast-paced environments such as ERs or trauma centers.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members professionally.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Mix of day shifts and afternoon shifts.
Start time between 6am and 8:30am for days.
Start time for between 2:30pm and 11am for afternoons.
Must have ARRT Certification and BLS
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
